Jake started at a young age (like many kids) with piano. He later picked up trombone in grade school, electric bass in high school, and electric guitar and ukulele in college. After returning home from college in late 2012,

Jake formed his first band, Fractured Focus. From there he has played in other bands including, Jay James Band/Illvolution, Vipers Drag, Adam Trask Band, and others that haven't been given a name, or he can't remember.

Though Jake may only be the "big guitar" player and you may not always hear him, you will always feel him, in What Shadows Hide.
